But bantam cochin are pretty small.
I have a Hamburg roo (says 5 lbs roo, 4 lbs hen, he's not that big and his daughters here are more the 3 pound sopping wet size). Of his 1st 8 offspring, 7 of them kept his size. 1 took the mother's larger size. 2 more offspring the next year, 1 averaged between the parents and 1 took aim at mother's size (standard brahma), but hasn't quite made that.
