Oh dear

What does happen, is my accent getting commented on.
So my dad came from the Uk, and mum came from Europe. Even when dad lived in the UK, he got people saying things like, 'do you come from New Zealand?' so I guess odd accents are in the family.
And then because I have been homeschooled and not been around other people much when I grew up, I haven't adapted either,
So now I sound part English, Part European, part our family/homeschooled, and part Australian.
So just about every single person talk to, asks where I'm from. I don't really mind, and my brothers have it just as bad, but I would love to be able to talk like a local.


I don't think anyone has ever said I'm one thing or anotherTo bring things back to homeschooler topics, the question of the day is...
What kind of homeschooler stereotypes do you think you embody?
Maybe ask a sibling or friend for their thoughts. My sister says I'm the "weird knife girl". Other than that, I am definitely a weird, awkward homeschooler and people can TELL that I'm homeschooled and proud.![]()
