Well-- even a lot of Americans have unique and interesting accents, come to think of it. Take dialects like southern or new england for example.

But not us out here lol. We're pretty boring.
As an American i totally agree. But I would think thats how all people with accents think. They think they're boring.

So how do y'all say caramel and syrup?

I say caramel like it rhymes with far-soul(car-mel) or sometimes like fair-uh-soul(car-a-mel).
Syrup is sir-up and sometimes sear-up.
