All the Christian Homeschoolers!

Thanks! 😁
Well I'm a teenage high schooler, I've been homeschooled my whole life, my family has a goat farm and I keep chickens, ducks and we have two great Pyrenees dogs, Penny and Cookie! I like writing, I'm learning Spanish, I'm a baseball fan and I like country music, that's about it!

What kind of writing do you do? Have you ever done NaNoWriMo?
Pyrenees are sooo pretty!
I used to learn Spanish, but I switched to German and Russian. I don't remember very much Spanish at all. 😅

I keep a journal and I also like writing poems and short scary stories. I've never done nanowrimo, what is it?
They are! I love them so much!!
Here's a picture of Penny, she is the sweetest dog! 20230411_080714.jpg

NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month(it's November). You take a month to write a novel and reach 50,000 words. NaNoWriMo is unfortunately pretty liberal leaning and doesn't hide it at all(environment on the website became a bit hostile towards believers, as I understand), so there is NoQuWriMo, which is "Novel Quest". Started by my sister's Christian friend, it's been around for a bit. I could give you more info if you're interested! There are lots of mini challenges to encourage your writing.
Penny is so cute and fluffy! We just have some terrier/pit mutt. She's very pretty but has bad knees and is limping all the time. She's also super touchy about anything and everything. But she's fast as lighting, jumps to gravity defying heights, and is super sweet to visitors. You know, after she barks at them, hehe.

Okay, there is one thing about hammocking that you can hate.
It's the fact that temps drop massively overnight. So, you get dressed for 30-40 degree weather, and go out in 60-70 degrees to wiggle and squirm and adjust yourself, which generates unbelievable amounts of heat, and then you sit there for ten minutes, cooking and sweating and basically dying for several minutes. And sometimes you're just hot until 3 in the morning. GAHHHH

Hello! I'm a Christian homeschooler and my family just started homeschooling in 2021. If you all have any tips for homeschooling that would really help, we really didn't do/learn anything in 2022 because we moved, and now we're moving again since my dad is becoming a pastor!
Unfortunately, that means all our poultry (except for 4 old quail, I hope) have to go :(

Hello, welcome! Nice to meet you!

I would love to hear more about this! I don't spend anytime on the NaNoWriMo website anymore, or read the emails I receive. I never actually participate because there isn't any way I could write a 50,000 word novel...
