Am I a Silkie Cross?

Ok I've posted these pics in various threads (so apologies for those who have seen them) but I haven't really asked about their breed as I just assumed they were Araucana crosses based on their fluffy head tuffs. The breeder also said daddy is an Araucana cross so I didn't think to research more but after looking through various chicken pics of a friend and other BYCers, I'm leaning more towards Silkie cross. Their mommies are Australorp crosses. What do you think?

Nope, I don't see Silkie in them. Is there a reason to not trust the breeder you bought them from?

It's not that I don't trust the breeder... just thought maybe she might not be right....

Bit late to this one but surprised nobody has mentioned it seems from the photo that daddy has 5 toes. I'm relatively new to chicken keeping but I keep silkies and believe they are unique in having 5 toes..

I don’t see five toes, are you talking about the spurs? There are a few other breeds with five toes.

They are not unique. Dorking and Salmon Faverolle also have it. Plus, I don't see a 5th toe on the father

Nope.. not Silkie cross.. no 5 toes, no dark skin, no feathered legs.. NO reason to suspect Silkie. They are crosses of crosses according to the NOT breeder but backyard multiplier.. so at best you're looking at 1/4 Silkie..

Other crested breeds (maybe somewhere in the background).. Swedish flower, Cream Legbar, Polish, Houdan, Spitzhauben, etc..

Cute babies though.. I dig that barred crest!

Silkie cross will have 5 toes, generally speaking.

I am leaning towards Polish cross if anything. Yours look similar to these kiddos.

This is a polish/silkie cross, she has 5 toes.

These are Polish/EE, Polish/barnyard Mix crosses. Note the delightful coiffe they are sporting on their heads
