I know exactly what you mean- I made VERY close friends on a chat group, been there for years, super active, I think I was a big part of what made that board what it is today as cocky as that sounds I put alot of effort into keeping it active and friendly. But there was just ONE person, a moderator, who was so rude and nasty. I never said anything, just kept my mouth shut, although I left a few times because of this person. Then for a few months I started getting PM's from many members who had the same concerns i did- they asked what they'd done to anger her, why she hated them, why she was so mean. A few people left the board, many took breaks like I did, trying to cool off, finally I had enough and went to the owner but they refused to take action, told me to go directly to the problem member, accused me of lying because I wouldn't give up the names of the complaintants and told me to grow up. So I went to the member and of course she was her usual self and we got into a major fight. They continued to preassure me to give up the members who had come to me so I asked them all for permission to give their names to the admin, only 2 out of about 15 agreed, either they asked to be left out of it or they never replied or had already left the board. Me and the 2 who stepped forward were attacked more, I was temporarily suspended because I got mouthy in public forum (which I admittedly deserved LOL) but bottom line, I realized that these 'friends' were just internet people who's company I enjoyed. I do speak with a handful ont he phone and meet with some in RL on occassion, I would consider them true friends, but I was SHOCKED how many turned on me, een ones who had mentioned disliking the member I took a stand against suddenly didn't know what i was talking about- bunch of spineless complainers! I felt totally betrayed and felt like leaving the net, but eventually you realize there are jerks and differences of opinion no matter where you go. Just be true to yourself, let people take you as you are, your true light will shine through and don't worry about 'degree's' of friendship, just enjoy the people you meet and let them enjoy you!!! and most of all, NOTHING is worth drama, just let things go, there's no reason to get upset online, trust me
