And a friend of mine had a car, a Mercury Topaz I think? She took out the passenger seat to take a mini mare to visit old folks homes. She did get some funny looks when people drove by and saw a pony in the car.

My son was already saying..."We would not be comfy in a car, because where would you sleep while I drove the whole trip!" LOL
We did a road trip to NJ a few years back with my DH and I did sleep the whole time. At the time my DH was a student, my son just entering college, and me working my butt off to pay for everything.
BTW We also left when I got off work at 4am after working a double and then got home and loaded the truck, finished their half arsssed packing, allthewhile they were snoozin' .

It's funny how they only remember specific parts
