karaokechick & her son left Fla. this morning heading my way. The roads are still clear, even though we got 2" of snow today. They should be arriving tomorrow afternoon. I will try to make them as "at home" as possible. I have a surprise for them too. She is getting a couple of young Red Shouldered Yokohama roos, but I think she needs a breeding age roo now, so I'm giving them a BEAUTIFUL 3 y.o. roo. She'll be hatching in no time! Wish her & hers a safe & fun trip!

LOL, we're going to Florida soon. Could have saved her the trip.

Here's hoping that Sunday's forecast doesn't cause them any trouble.

Chicken.Lytle :

I cannot recommend 5 Hour Energy enough. Minimal fluid for fewer pit stops. Smooth boost to alertness. NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR SLEEP. If you have enough energy, it will help you get it done.

My technique was to drive a while. Nap 30-45 minutes at a rest stop. Down a 5HE. Drive 4-6 more hours.

By the way, you are nuts. What kind of chickens? I may make a similarly nutty expedition.

5 Hour Energy = Migraine in a bottle for me. No thanks.

You are killing me!!!

We are home safe and sound. We stopped for a 6 hour power nap and got rolling again. Minimal traffic!

The Birdies are great, after we left your place the second time...

.. we stopped at the grocery and put some apples & tomatos in their boxes/rubbermaids...they sure loved the apples!!!

I put them in their new pen a few hours before dark and they seem settled in already!!! Loving the 66 degree temps after sundown!!!

As for the quail...they are in a rubbermaid tub on the kitchen counter next to the EMU tub, and the tub with all the new chicks!! I need a bigger kitchen!

I think I am officially a HOARDER....

THANK YOU AGAIN Birdaholic!!!!
