Amelia is broody again!

Amelia and her babies were probably out for about an hour. Still trying to figure out where to put her!

Wait until it is dark and slip them under her 1 at a time and remove eggs while doing it. Be sure the chicks aren't more than a few days old, the younger the better. Be out there nice and early to make sure she has excepted them.

Enola had two eggs and the chickens popped one and long story short I was not expecting her last egg to hatch! But her little one did!

Can the little chick be with mommy in the big coop? Some of my chickens are bullies and I can see them gobbling up a little chick I have closed the coop door for the moment. I’m really nervous and not sure what to do! I would separate her but I don’t have any room as my little coop is full and Enola does not handle confinement well. Any advice is welcome!

Can you rig something up so they're separated/protected for just a few days? I gave my broodies and babies a separate space where the rest of the flock could still see and hear them. They were only separated by a wire fence. Just until little chick gets his legs under him and mom figures out what she's doing. After a few days of protected time, my hens seemed ready to take their babies back into the flock. They roosted on the floor in the main coop with no problem.

To clarify: my broody wasn't confined with her chick. She got access to the yard and garden outside of the run for a few days so she could take littles outside.

I can try I have another broody hen and my own chicks so all my equipment is being used. The baby is laying out of the nest box by herself! Should I put the baby back under her mommy?

I did this for my other broody and fenced her off with a cardboard box but Enola keeps jumping out! I’m so worried!
