Ameraucana Or Easter Egger??? Please help

she is about 2 months old. I’m not sure if she is an Easter Egger or an Ameraucana I’ve been told both by several ppl.

That's an Easter Egger... and anyone who knows Ameraucana will tell you the same thing.

Ameraucana will ALWAYS be sold under their color... like Black, Lavender, Wheaten, Blue and so on.

If you got it at a feed store for around $4 you can also be assured it is an EE. Real Ameraucana will go closer to $20.

That being said EE are great birds... and I will probably ALWAYS have at least one in my flock.

EE are supposed to be a representation of the real deal. They simply don't meat the standard of perfection set forth for the breed. Either in feather pattern, beard, eye color, or skin color type stuff.

Feed stores don't know they are selling counterfeit Ameraucana. They are simply selling what they are told they are getting. Most will argue till they are blue in the face... they aren't experts. I don't blame them.

I'm sure you will enjoy her all the same!

Yes I love her she is still beautiful to look at and has a great temperament. I’m still hoping for those blue eggs tho. Maybe you can also help me with another I received from the same store they told me he was a buff Orpington but I’m am highly doubtful he is quite smaller than the rest and at 2 mo he’s already trying to crow it’s halarious

I think he is a bantam of some sort, not sure though. Someone will come along who knows.

Oh I envy you that cute lil guy! He looks so sweet

I like your EE girl too. The feed store where we got our chicks were selling the ones we bought as Americana & Easter Eggers. Ours are definitely Easter Eggers but they are lovely birds with awesome personalities. Oh and at least one of ours lays blue eggs so don’t give up hope on the blue eggs. At least one other lays a blue-green egg which also a pretty color. You can see them on my profile picture along with the sage green egg that our Favaucana lays.

We ended up with a Buff orpington roo on accident....he was the 10% bird. The farm store guy said you know that there is only a 90% certainty that these will be pullets.....so he is the 10%. He is gigantic, mean and aggressive.

I have yet to get an EE that doesn't lay some shade of blue or green. So your chances should be good.

Agree with Gray Farms on the bantam cockerel.
