11 boys?? Oh my! It’s the worst when you hatch them yourself too! You want to keep them all cuz they’re YOUR babies!I know! We currently have I think 11, and most of them we hatched out!
Thank you, and I am too!

At least! Oh yes. We have never culled or re-homed one in our seven, almost 8 years of chicken keeping.11 boys?? Oh my! It’s the worst when you hatch them yourself too! You want to keep them all cuz they’re YOUR babies!![]()

Haha, thank you! So far the feathers look much more normal than my Lav Orp who most definitely has the cursed genes! If he mates with other lavenders will he pass that on? I’d rather not use him to breed if it is a dominant gene! Not that it wasn't incredibly obvious from the start, but congrats on the two pretty Lavender Ameraucana pullets. They look well-bred, so hopefully laying blue eggs is unique enough without cursing them with frayed feathers.
He will definitely pass it on, although generally, birds who are not lavender don’t show the gene.Haha, thank you! Well damn. I wanted to see what the babies of my boy and the Ameraucana girls were like. He’s just the best boy and they’re such awesome girls! Thanks! He will definitely pass it on, although generally, birds who are not lavender don’t show the gene.
I will bow at your feet, @Crested Special if these birds end up being male.
