I just got these eggs from Gary Ramey.

They are buff ameraucana, they are a very nice color and have great size too. These will certainly help to improve my lines.

Oh good luck with the hatch! I'm not familier with his birds, or don't remember that name.

Well, it's about that time. Almost time to pick up kids and head out to the farm and take care of the animals.

WOW I didn't know Gary Ramey had Buffs! That gives me lots of hope, as I'm getting a lot of birds from him in a couple weeks.

Thanks, new2chooks! I completely agree. I wouldn't know show quality from stew quality, so I think he's just perfect.

He's beautiful, but to me there is something different about his head, comb, or muffs/beard. I don't know the standard for blue wheaten coloring though. Curious of it - Anyone else know? For a while I thought it was the tail, but I really don't know.

He is good looking-Tailfeather is just a great breeder with high standards, just culling hard for perfection.
I dont have any of these...but.you dont know his weight from the photo, he could be small.(but I doubt it as he is Paul Smith line)
Comb doesnt look bad.
There is black striping in the hackles, they should be clear. Looks like some lighter gold in there, too.
Probably too much red in tail. Eyes look yellow in photo. Beard could be bigger.
