Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

Hi all,
I'm doing a little pictorial log of my 3 wheaten/blue wheaten ameraucanas as a way to see the changes my chicks go thru as they grow. The sex is still unknown, and I understand it will take several more weeks. It's an education for me and I thought others might enjoy seeing the transition, too. So here they are at 2 weeks and 3 weeks....

This one is considerably lighter than the other two, perhaps she'll be a blue wheaten?

Is this supposed to be a bantam or large fowl? If they came from the same breeder, I would say ee. She looks like an ee to me from what I can tell. The photo is pretty far away. Can you get a closer shot?

He's a large fowl, the hen is an ee i know that for sure i was just wondering about the rooster. I'll try and get a better picture but they are at my friends house right now so i wont have one for a while (I'm moving so they're staying with a friend)

I have the hardest time photographing this (girl?) since (she?) never is still, so I went with a video. I am assuming it's a pullet since the comb is still completely black and tiny at 7-8 weeks old. It is supposed to be a true ameraucana. The original owner bought it as an egg and sold it to me when it was about 3 weeks old since they thought it was a cockerel based on it's rate of growth. I am interested in opinions on pullet/cockerel, as well as any comments on whether it looks like a true ameraucana.

Is it LF or bantam?

We want to add to our flock. i love the pure ameraucana. Anyone know where I can buy day old pure ameraucana pullets without getting 'packing peanuts'? The last thing I need are extra roosters!
