One of my chicks I got today from Cliff Redden they are healthy and all 27 of them made it ,

So i have a cockerel or pullet question that is kinda two-parted.... I had never heard of sexing them via comb(single pea vs three rows) so I'm wondering if that's a breed trait or a trait of a specific line.... I am pretty new to ameraucanas....

The second part is to confirm or deny a two birds i think are Roos....

Bird #1 I'm basing roo off of feathers and behavior, but he's from a wheaten roo over a black hen/16 wks

The second is a kinda bleached version of wheaten( I think it has a specific name) the first pic is a few weeks old, but its colors haven't changed... The second is from today... Of its comb

Any critic is appreciated... I know these guys are technically EE's but I still like knowing as much info as poss :)

Look near the base of the tail on bird #1. See those long droopy feathers tipped with white? Saddle feathers. Rooster for sure. :(

How old is bird #2 in the later pictures? I'm tempted to say roo but I'm NO expert LOL.

Both birds are the same age....
Anyone have any experience with the color on the wheaten chick?? Is this what they mean when it's said that white covers everything/recessive white???

Eta: chick two is more cream than white....
