But you could still claim the image is yours and cause problems for the person using the image, right? If that the case I have a bone to pick with the ABC. This info was not disclosed at the time pictures were requested.

Mrs. Bachbach. Please check your email. I have returned the three images that you sent back in April. There was a wheaten hen/pullet, a blue wheaten cockerel/cock and a black cockerel/cock. They are the only ones I have from you and they have not been used on the website, nor were ever uploaded to the ameraucana.org server.

I was only able to find these, as I had not deleted the email you sent with these images as attachments. Otherwise, I would never have known what you sent or when.

Thank you for your continued support of the ABC and I apologize for any miscommunication.

After giving some thought to Mrs. Bachbach's concerns, I think I've come up with a solution that will work for all. I can certainly understand the conundrum created when the ABC wants to present the best of the best, and, if you bred that bird, you want to present it on your website or FB page. So, to prevent this from becoming an issue, all pictures used in the Gallery of our website will be watermarked to identify it as property of the Ameraucana Breeders Club. Those watermarked images will then fall under the protection of the ABC copyright, but your original unwatermarked image is still yours to upload, share, post on your or anyone's website.

I hope this solution will allow everyone to use the best of the best images of our Ameraucanas into perpetuity.

thanks for letting me know not to ever submit pics. I hate sites where the pics are watermarked, it takes away from the experience.

Guess I wasn't clear...I agree, it was transmitted or injected into her body, when I said transmitted, I was refering to being transmitted from her to her offspring... My oldest son was shot in the leg with a BB gun by my youngest son...he still carries the BB, but it is not in his DNA, and his children..if he ever has any...will not have a BB in their DNA....lol...that's kind of where I was thinking..

How do we know she wasn't born with it? Did these reasearchers find the lovers of these women and match the DNA found in them with their lovers? If not, then no one can say for sure where it originated from.

well if a woman was born with a man's dna, wouldn't that make her a man? LMAO I thought the article pretty much clarified that these woman shouldn't have male DNA in them, so they had to get it somewhere......

anyway, I just found the article interesting. I never said I took it as gospel so to speak

That sounds better. And to address other comments regarding this, Directors change every year. One never knows who might decide to do what and I wasn't talking about just members. One never knows when one may have to leave the club and then have to answer to the upload of their own pictures somewhere on the web.

Ahh...who knows! Science learning new stuff everyday. Maybe it's left over unused dna from conception. I do believe some people are born with both male and female parts, so....maybe there is more to discover.

not sure I understand the purpose of this ...why is it necessary for the ABC to own the intellectual rights to my photograph ??? As long as I have given you permission to use it, I would think that would satisfy any legal issues...
