That is just such a skeezy thing to do! First of all, you are completely deceiving your customers by showing a picture of SOMEONE elses eggs and second of all you are ripping someone off! People sure do have guts.

I emailed her back and thanked her for her quick response, and told her at the very least she needs to email you and apologize for using your pic without permission, and at least edit the ad to say the pic is not hers, but from the breeder her stock came from...I think she gets it now.

Unless you take the photo yourself, it's not yours, period!! She should have asked permission to use the photo first. How does a person not get that that is stealing? Geez.

This is the response she wrote to me:

Dear redtoads,

I am not a thief, you are misinformed. I actually bought hatching eggs as well as 3 wheaten and blue wheaten hens and a roo from Kat. When I bought her hatching eggs last year the pic in the ad is the pic she provided me which is what my hens and roo from her lines are producing. I only have 1 black and 1 blue ammeraucana the rest are Kat's lines. My blue and black came from John Blehm and produce the exact same dark blue/teal egg as the others. My eggs will be almost 80% wheaten and blue wheaten so the other ones will be purebred ameraucanas since they are all blue eggs just may not be a solid wheaten or blue. I do not breed mutts or crap and have researched my breeders and only have the best lines I could find. I am in no way trying to do anything wrong. I just posted a pic of the eggs Kat sent me which I made a mistake, allthouogh those are the exact eggs my chickens from her produce! You guys tend to jump the gun by bathmouting people because BYC has become a gossup place rather than a place of fun and enjoyment for our chickens as it should be. I am sorry if I offended anyone I am in no way misrepresenting my chickens and would wish people would stop turning a hobby into a slam fest and get back to enjoy our chickens as I do everyday!

The seller wrote me a very sincere letter of apology. No harm done.... it was just a mistake.

Thank goodness for it, as we've been having horrible rainstorms for weeks on end. But, to add to the great news of sun, my Blue Wheaten and Wheaten girls (from peachick, haha) are finally deciding to lay again. . . . Well, they're not laying yet, but they're squatting.
