I generally wait until I can clearly tell how their feathering,comb,eye and leg coloring are coming out so I know for sure what my best to breed are. I dont cull any potential breeder prior to about 20-24 weeks.
The pictures below are from two month old babies who were sold as hatching eggs labled BBS Bantam Ameraucans. From the male comb they are not SOP. The bottom of their feet is yellow and the tops are (I think willow) or somewhere between and I don't know.................. But are they really splash ?
I am hoping that someone can tell me if my chick is true ameraucana or easter egger. I want my daughter to be able to show it for 4-h. otherwise we have to choose a different breed.
