Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

There were @ 78 LF and 18 Bantams. No Lav LF, but two pairs of Bantams I think. I wish I would have taken pics of Larry's Whites , Buffs, & Silvers
since you never see them. Will Kitsch had some great birds!!! You know what I didnt see(well there was one in AOV)
Easter Eggers entered as Ameraucanas. Yea!!
All in all a nice group, although, perhaps not as large as last year when there was a ABC Meet.

There was a lavender there. A cock bird. He was cooped at the end, on the second row down by the geese. It was one of Randy Stoneback's birds.

ETA: they did not call it lavender, it was refered to as self-blue.

oops.....

We will be requesting the birds be called lavender when we go to get them approved to the standard, so they need to be shown as AOV-Lavender.

The Bantams were shown as AOV, and grouped with the other Amer Bantams. There were 8 LF AOV, Stoneback is not listed
in the catalog with the LF AOV from what I can gather. Perhaps that would be a good suggestion to the show Secretary
for next year, in the interest of the proposed Variety, to not put Lav LF by the geese----(0:

Oh uh, I think I have a disease. I am sending out a check today for LF Lavender Chicks from John, along with 20 LF Hatchery Choice. Thak goodness they won't be shipping for a while so I can get everyone organized into pens and figure out who stays and who goes. I really need to be commited.

I am really only interested in the Lavenders, so if anyone nearby is going to be interested in other colors of LF let me know. I'd only want whatever they cost me for them as day olds (about $5.80 each).

I'm keeping Henry's blacks, my best blues and my 2 best blacks. Looks like some of my silkies and EE's are going to be moving on!

Bitten by the Lavender Ameraucana bug.... Sigh.

I thought he was sold out of lavs already. Are you still interested in doing an egg swap when my ladies cooperate?
