Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

Your signature line answered my question.

I have a Lav Ameraucana that is 1/2 the size of her hatch mates. I was wondering if there is such a thing as Bantam Ameraucana. Guess there is. She probably is one. Or deathly ill....which I sincerely doubt since she is the loudest and most rammy of the bunch.

pips&peeps :

Here are some photos of my second generation of silver project birds. You can see that the silver pattern is already coming back; more so on some than others. There appears to be a tiny bit of red/gold leakage too, but I will wait until they have their final adult plumage before I make any decisions on them.

This one is huge and not so great on pattern:

I guess if I was half the size of the rest of the world I would make a lot of noise too. To keep everyone from stepping on me.

!? I made it to 75 and then just skipped to the front of the line lol. Anyway I had a question about Wheaton genetics. I have six blue Wheaton eggs in lockdown now which I am anxiously expecting to hatch today or tomorrow. But I was curious as to what I may get. Since blue breeds black and splash does this also apply to Wheaton birds-so would I have the possibility of getting blue Wheaton, black Wheaton (would this be birchen?), and splash Wheaton??? Not sure if that makes sense and im positive atleast one of those varieties doesn't exist lol. Just wondering. Thanks ahead of time!

Hey Jean!
What ever happened with the girl who layed your the vibrant colored egg????
Did she lay more like that or was it just the first one?
Did you blow it out and save it?
