I'm in the same boat. I had pre-orders that took the whole last batch so I'm waiting on the next ones. The good thing is Oz got my favorites, so I will get to watch them grow![]()
I did a 7 day candle of a set on Sunday, and fertility was still 25%, so I scrapped the whole batch and set again. Those eggs were collected during that really cold weather, so maybe that had something to do with it. Now I have two batches running 2 days apart. If I have bad fertility, I can combine the good eggs in one incubator for a staggered hatch and set incubator 2 with some eggs I'm collecting this week
I candled this next hatch last week and the fertility looked great on the wheatens, not so great on the blacks. Really need for those black AM boys and girls to step up! LOL
Are you coming to Edgefield this weekend? As of last night, I was the only one entered Ameraucanas.
