Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

PA Farm Show 2010
I apologize these arent better. I was trying to take pictures while making sure my 5 year old didnt run off.
He was running up and down the isles telling the birds how they placed and every so often taking off the coop cards.
Some are local ABC Breeder Larry Clionsky-the rest are Paul Smith's line, including the Champion bird.

The black looks like Carolyn Blum's bird?

ETA: Will (w/4H) had a very nice buff cock. Larry had a nice pair of buffs as well. I didn't see how they placed, though.. We won't be back down that way until tomorrow afternoon.

Carolyn got birds from me. I don't know if she purchased anything from Paul at a different time.

I could be wrong, but, I'm pretty sure that is one of her birds. You can always tell Carolyn's birds by how immaculately kept they are.

No idea. I believe she swapped some birds with Larry, but, beyond that - no clue.

I e-mailed her and asked if that was her bird on champion row.

That is Carolyn's. She is our 4H leader. Two years ago Paul provided the kids 75 Ameraucana chicks for a large "Know Your Breed Project" so there remain some nice Ameraucanas in this area and a lot of the kids have stayed with them.
This bird is offspring direct from that project, straight Paul and Angela Smith.
The birds from this project have been shown up and down the East coast and always done well.
Her Bantam Wheaten from John Blehm's lines was also on Champion row.

Small word, eh?
