he was not exactly "beaming" over these 2 roos, but still young... we know we got some brown in their tailfeathers... the roo in the front has some dark in his hackles, the one behind is a lil better. I do like the horn color of their beaks...
Randy said we may have 2-3 "decent" pullets here.
yes, I grabbed another clean faced bird from the cull pen for our layer flock- so that is on me- I kinda like the look of the clean faced wheaten hens...
all things he pointed out to me, educated me on... and warned me about.
can definitely get ya some more pics this weekend, if you like? all my wheaties are just outside of town.
if you are serious about taking the trip, its worth the ride just to talk with Randy, he has had Wheatens for 8+ years.
