I am so not surprised! They are a broody bunch

I set eggs a couple of months ago from the non-broodies hoping
to get some that are not so prone to this. Now a few of those non setting pullets have turned broody

The plus is that when not broody they are great layers year round despite weather...maybe because they are broody so often?

I do love that the roos are paternal and nurturing...will show the pullets the nest box...chattering and demonstrating. They are amazing fathers
and will help raise the young.

I hope she lays a nice clutch for you and you can experience the chick raising...totally AWESOME!

I have one- she has 4 toes on one foot and blue legs. Light leg feathering. In front of the bucket.

More wheaties and Del project babies. Somebody was playing musical eggs with the turner and I accidentally hatched a lavender as well. Geez I hope its a girl.

Dipsy that's awesome- I have a blue one but she's not bearded.

Keep your fuzzy chickens, poofy headed chickens and bare necked chickens.
Nothing is more beautiful than a foofy cheeked, dark legged Ameraucana.

And they love you back.
