Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

I have a question. Are the Blue Silvers a result of blues over silver or could they possibly come from Lavs? I know stupid question, but I was going to try a project with one of my roos, just because I think he's such a pretty bird. He can from Lavender eggs, so should have been a cull and I just love him. He's different then the Blue Silver but similar, head is much darker.

I was going to rehome him, but now I think I still want to keep him, I'm just not sure what I should do, but if he's worth keeping, I'd like to. Thing is I have a lot of birds and was trying to figure out who to let go and figured I'd get rid of some of my favorites first, so the others would be easier. OK, well it made sense to me at the time.

I'm going to see if I can catch him long enough to get a better pic of him, but this is him for now.

Can anyone tell me what the incubation time is on these beautiful chicks? I have a few blue eggs to put in my incubator, my friend said she thought hers hatched earlier than the 21 days. Oh, BTW Hello, and my name is Judy and I live in beautiful E. Tenn. I also have a picture I will post in a litle bit of an Ameraucana pullet that I purchased from My Pet Chicken, she is just so beautiful and does not look like the others, wondering if it is a ROO? Thanks

Ok, here is the picture of one of my birds, this was supposed to be a pullet, what do you think?

Your birds are not Ameraucanas. They are Easter Eggers. My Pet Chicken doesn't sell Ameraucanas. And he's a boy. But your blue/green eggs will still hatch in 21 days, just like all the other chickens.

Good luck with your hatch!!!

I took pictuers of my wheaten cock this morning. His beard is a little wet so there is more white down showing through than normal but the pics turned out pretty nice. Thought I'd share.

Beautiful bird!

QUESTION:
Should I expect to get BW from flock of Wheaten and Blue Wheaten Hens that has a Wheaton Rooster on them?
