Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

I wish that pic on the Ameraucana scrapbook was bigger. It looked like there was a little gray under its butt. But the blue definitely had more lighter feathering in his butt and tail. But hey if he's a good roo he's worth his weight in gold. I've had my share of bad ones.

Is this one what? If you're asking if the chick in the picture is an ameraucana, no. All colors of ameraucana except the silver (which are rare and you would have to buy directly from a breeder to get) are solid colored as chicks. Since this chick has brown in the wing feathers that are coming in, she would be an easter egger. My guess would be that she will grow up to be mostly brown with black markings on her feathers.

Ok. So have you ever hearx of a confetti pattern? It came.out of a blue wheatenameraucana breeding. I dont have a pic yet. I also cant find a pic either of a generic one. Do you know what this is and since it came from a blue wheaten breeding can it be used over wheatens to produce blue wheatens? I know this is a complex genetics question that is way over my head.

I am just very frustrated as i ordered eggsfrom someone on the ABC breeders directory and at least 3three werent fertile and 4the more had blood rings and i am down to 5 :(the and i havent heard from the seller yet about the non fertile ones. Oh and these were at least a week old when i got them in to the incubator because they shipped on athe thursday over memorial day weekend....so yeah i am a little frustrated i just want some ameraucanmas.

I just want to share before and after [now about 6 1/2 weeks old] pictures of one of my blues. She's so so friendly and becoming so pretty in my eyes!
Do you like her coloring? Is it a nice medium blue? She has the best personality!
