Im going to be working with silvers first. Might add brown reds later even tho I would rather have the silver version of brown red. Or make it blue red! Lol.
Wonder what lavender red looks like?

SmdhSOOooo...serious question here. The batch we just hatched has some foul play in it. Just to clarify, neither of our black hens eggs were incubated...but we will be incubating them in the next week to test breed & see what we come up with. The reason is...
These chicks clearly do not appear to be sired by our Buff Orpington roo as thought. Our Crele bantam roo was only 10-11 weeks old when he broke into the big run, so he's not being suspected either.
That leaves our Black Ameraucanas. Obviously if they were blacks, they should've all hatched out black. Here lies our problem....especially since we have BBS on the way.
They have not had any free range time with our big flock in 3 months, they were 15 weeks old when they last free ranged with the adults. So idk how this was possible. They are in a superate run. They both could fly over our 8ft fences, so may e they visited while we were grocery shopping & went home before we got back lmao. I just can't rule them out even with the strict separation, even tho we never witnessed them do this. We're thinking our Ameraucanas might be the culprit, and they might be splits...are we delusional or is this a serious possibility? TIA!
Yellow/White chicks = Cuckoo Marans hens
Chocolate brown/blue = Buff Orpington hen.
Possible Dads
Buff Orpington roo
Crele OEGB roo
Black Ameraucana roo
It's official...those are muffs...and a beard. Totally dying of cuteness here. The only roosters I have with muffs are black amers...so I guess we accidentally hatched out EEs 6 months early & with the wrong flock! Hubby is totally hooked, these little buggers are THE friendliest chicks we've ever hadSmdh
Figured out who the white culprit was...I forgot we have 1 Cinnamon Queen in with our layer flock!!!!Smdh
