For me, last night may be the best "across the board" performance ever on Idol. Jacob Lutz is awesome! Guy number one with the glasses and attitude-out! Tall thin black guy with very inflated sense of self- out. Let the other 10 shake it out and may Jacob Lutz win it. I'm thinking that several stars are going to develop from this group--including the guy with mild tourettes and Scotty.

But my heart is with James Durbin .. Rockin' the house with some Judas Priest. Go boy! (I also have a daughter that I suspect has Aspergers, and his story with Tourettes and losing his dad .. along with the voice and showmanship .. love love love him)

Well, whaddya all think of the girls? I didn't think they were as good as the guys. My favs were Haley, then Thia, the 15 yr old, the next girl (the southern one, 16 yr old), and then Pia, the last girl, not in that order. Not sure what my 5th choice would be

JMO, compared to the guys, the ladies were hurting. 6 of the 12 can leave. I particularly liked Thia and Pia.

Have you all ever wondered what happens to the contestants when they actually make the top 24 and then get on TV and just bomb? They sing so great in the auditions and in Hollywood Week, then they get on the show and just stink !! I thought the girls were just horrendous last night. As far as I'm concerned, they can all go home and keep 10 of the boys !!

Casey is my favorite, with James a close second. I despise country music, but I do like Scotty and think he will have a country music career whether he wins or not. I do like that he actually sings country music, not like so many of the others who call it country music, but is no more country than a string quartet. I know a lot of you all here really like Jacob Lusk (I think that is is name), but don't care for him at all. I don't like watching him perform and I cannot understand a word he says when he is singing. I think he seems like a really, really nice young man, but I just don't care for his style of singing.

I'm a huge Steven Tyler fan (always have been) and I'm really enjoying him on the show. I also really like Jennifer so far. I think Randy is trying to take Simon's place now.
