American serama thread!

is there still a chance of it being a frizzle for him I think it's a boy ??
Any frizzle I have ever had of any breed, I could tell at that age if they were frizzle or not. Those wing feathers would be curling if it were. I don't know of any birds that had straight feathers like that and turned out a frizzle.

No, not a frizzle.

Well I'm down a few chicks. A friend took two, but two of my 3 blondies died! Uhg I hate that =( They are just so dang fragile! Everyone else seems GREAT, I feel so bad that those guys don't make.

HI Everyone,
I am about through hatching Orpingtons so am going to get busy with my Seramas again.......................
big_smile.png

Have only hatched two this year one each with broody hens........................
Seramas are much more fun...................and I love the wait to see what color they will finish..........

We have one guy in the breakfast nook. He has a large bird cage and thinks he is a parrot. ( or maybe a people)
He is generally very quiet except when we are in the room. Then he starts chatting. I swear, it is like he is part of the conversation.
We will say something and he cocks his little head and starts talking............It is a crack up.
When I sell him, I am going to insist he go to a home wanting a pet. If I can get him away from my DH.
Love the pictures......................

My little walnut baby, the one on the spoon, is a FRIZZLED SILKIED!!! I'm so happy! I'm praying it's a female, but knowing my history of ALL frizzles being males I'm not counting on it :p

Hello. I'm new to the thread and bread. I have a wonderful black Serama boy that is SO sweet! I love to hear him crow in the mornings. I also have a bantam frizzle girl. She looks to be a brown black back barred color. Do you think these two would make a good breeding pair? Do Serama's only mate with one hen?
Thanks for any info.
