American serama thread!

Yeah, he had that killing machine look to him alright. He was SO tired that he was content just to do nothing for the few minutes I held him. No fight in him at all. Poor guy. He flew up to a satellite dish and sat there for the longest time. He probably came by to catch some tasty field mice that run around the rafter braces....no baby chicks here....

Why are you getting rid of all your birds. that is so sad.

The smallest female died. I think it was alot of stress on her. I should have kept her inside, but I didn't want to seperate her from her pals. Lessons learned. They rest are really good. I haven't got any eggs from them yet, but hopefully soon. How is our favorite mama Jennie doing?

I've lived with my dad since moving here from FL in '08. We are driving each other crazy. I don't have a driver's license and he refuses to help me get 'back on my feet'. He won't help me get a job but feels no problems griping about my not paying any bills. He comes off with 'well, you buy feed for your birds' but his idiot mind apparently doesn't realize that if I didn't have the birds, I wouldn't have the money to buy feed for them.

Way too much stress at home, so I've decided to move by the end of the year. Everything is for sale but I've only listed the Serama and Silkies right now. Hopefully, I'll have some luck so I won't have to sell them locally.

I probably will list others later on that don't sell locally, dad wrecked his truck today so now we also have no vehicle

Jenny is sitting on the "magic rock" right now. She got broody again and I didn't want to have anymore chicks [unless they belong to some one else

] so I gave her the rock. Its almost time to take it away from her, I hate doing that cuz she cries something pitiful.....I keep telling her, its been 3 weeks, give it up already girl! I think she likes being broody.
Bills two BEBEs that she hatched are 3 months old now! It was one of each and the girl is REALLY looking good-like SQ good. The boy was born with a vestigal limb on the right wing so can't be shown, but he is SQ too. Bill just LOVES them babes.

Yep, gotta love those squeaky crows! Mine are going off behind me right now. They all sleep in crates in the office at night so they don't wake the kids.
