I’m pretty sure this is the dad of Teddy and Grumpy. He was molting a bit in this pic, and it’s after he lost his comb tips over the winter

We put a couple of Noodles' past eggs into the incubator, only 1 developed but didn't make it to hatch. Meanwhile Teddy managed to fertilize my older silkie hen.
The result was 2 chicks like this:

So your Spazz-o is a grandpa.
I have a few more serama eggs in the incubator. A couple due in a week & a couple more due in 2 weeks. The OEG just started laying too, so there's a small chance some of the eggs could be hers. I didn't realize she was laying until one day I got 2 eggs! Now I wonder about the silkie & giant orp. BTW- The eggs are very large for such tiny birds.

Friday I got 3 more of Cajun and Sabine Chicks . Think they will be mottled,cuckoo or exchequer. Hoping for a frizzled pullet.

Spicoli, lol!!!

I love the pics!!!! He definitely takes after his dad, totally see it!

He has the same eye shape, it''s subtle, but he kinda looks like he's always giving me a side eye, and when he was born he looked grumpy! Hence the name.

I love the "family" photos up here! I can't wait till my lone Serama baby hatches so I can post pics!

I forget.... About how many days does it take for the serama eggs to hatch? Are they about a day early? They also do better with higher humidity at hatch/lockdown, right? I can't wait. Just think, Teddy could be a Daddy again soon!

He’s so cute. And I love that mix chick too! Her coloring is cool!

I have a couple very dark silkied chicks. I need to get some pics of them. They panic when the phone comes out for pics. Lol

Mine usually hatch late day 20, sometimes into day 21. But day 19 pips aren’t unusual. And honestly, I haven’t paid much attention to humidity really. I run dry, then just keep my wells full and it is whatever it is. 65-75% I’d say is about the norm.
Only thing different that I do with seramas is watch for slow pokes. I tend to assist them quicker, like 18ish hours from pip, instead of waiting 24 or more, because I’ve found they can give up quicker.

The mama is a splash silkie, so the brown color had to come from Teddy.

Teddy looks mostly white, but does have faint blue & tan colors as well. It just doesn't show up very well in the pics.

One thing I love about hatching these is the unknown outcome. My lav orps only come in lav or sometimes black/lav splits if I'm breeding them. I always know what will hatch. These little bantams are just "for fun."

I agree about the seramas and the multitude of colors. I loved my lav orps, but they did get a little boring to hatch, colorwise
And the changes that seramas go through as they grow out still amazes me.
