@WVduckchick
I forget.... About how many days does it take for the serama eggs to hatch? Are they about a day early? They also do better with higher humidity at hatch/lockdown, right? I can't wait. Just think, Teddy could be a Daddy again soon!

I'm so glad you posted these!

I just hatched 4 Mystery Eggs (that I was hoping would be fertilized by my now dead AC roo, but it looks like he wasn't the daddy) and I'm fairly sure they are Silkie eggs fertilized by one of my Serama cockerels, probably Negan. I am very curious to see what they will turn out to look like!

Do yours have 5 toes or 4? All mine have 5 toes (except for one that has 6 toes on one foot! Crazy!) And 3 of them have pink feet, but one has black feet and possibly skin. I'm gonna post a pic....

Is this what yours looked like as a baby? :loveThis is at one day old. Ours are related, because my daddies were hatched 6 months ago from @WVduckchick 's eggs!! I guess that would make them cousins, right?

@pitbullmomma
That chick's adorable!
Yes, ours looked very similar.

We hatched 2 silkie eggs (fertilized by our silkied serama cockerel)
Both chicks had black skin, 5 toes, & deep red chick fuzz. Looked silkie except for a couple small details - like no head dome, wings downward, smaller size, slightly diff comb.

Just hatched

Newly hatched & 10 days old

Around 4-6 weeks, a small crest started. We currently still have the older one (now 8+ weeks), but she'll be leaving when sold. Her color is changing more dark gray

Wow that little cockerel is showing his gender very early!
How old is he? With all that chick fluff, I'd guess only 3 weeks.

Yes, I agree that the one on right looks female.
My @WVduckchick boys showed their sex by about 2 weeks. Those red little combs popped out FAST.

Right on the nose Faraday40. 3 weeks old last Friday!
I had such a great hatch rate with WVduckchick hatching eggs . My own hatch rate is horrible. 3 out of 14, 2 out of 9, One pen nothing hatches but gets all the way to lock down. They get the same as my other pens. moving them mess them up? Vitamin supplement?
Really disappointed and frustrated
