well thats frustrating! geeze! he is still not quite his perky self, kind of droopy, breathing through his mouth, have him on denaguard antibiotic, powdered him for mites, and he is eating egg, not sure if there is anything else i can do

ok, got him outside in fresh air, after some meltown in the sun on my lap, he is back to normal- a thought occurred to me, i cleaned this morning, wiped down the window next to his cage with MILD bleach water- am wondering if that could be an issue?

well, he is happily dusting outside- as if the fresh air did him good- i have lost 2 serama hens suddenly, but never with seizures- so i am assuming fumes even with a mild bleach, 1 T to 2 cups of water- well back to cleaning with vinegar!

OHMY! Robin, You just experienced one of the YUCKY parts about the Serama breed....
SEIZURES .

Okay, I'm thinking this happened to me Sunday morning. I found my little black hen Betty dead of absolutely no apparent reason. She has been soo..happy, and healthy too. I couldn't understand it, and this would make sense. It really sucks because she had been raising a chick (5 wks now) and she would sleep under Betty's wing at night on the roost. The poor thing keeps trying to crawl under Fred's wing and he's having no part of it. Baby is physically fine though, I put a heatlamp in the coop, she's just lonely without Mom. You'd think one of the D'uccle hens would help her out. Nada!

You're scaring me with the bleach stuff!! I have a mini coop with 3 Seramas in it in my basement. I mopped the floor with bleach water yesterday morning getting ready for Thanksgiving! It smelled pretty strong so I looked up whether the fumes were harmful, and it didn't seem so. Now I'm worrying!

Sometimes a particular bird can be really sensitve to it. Others it doesn't bother at all.

I generally just avaoid chemicals around the birds and use vinegar and orange peels.
