I have an ee, that I got with 3 others, that were supposed to be Ameracauna's.. at home under closer inspection.. NOPE they were also supposed to be hens.. NOPE... I have a little roo that looks much like yours.. I have a pullet that is a ameracuana..( surprise there!) and a big was supposed to be hen , no crowing but no eggs and the most beautiful back of the neck feathers I don't know what to call it. its not a cape, not a beard.. I call her Farrah cause she reminded me of Farrah's hair in the 70s. she/he is white with red splashes in her wings.. ?? who knows ?? and then I have, what colors I have seen as a blue wheaten.. on other breeds. but she is a EE she now that shes home and eating and getting healthy, she stands very tall.. much like a sport / or game chicken very pretty but I'm sure not real.
but I tell ya.. when I got them home and I realized and really looked them over.. I did a good thing by buying these 4 little souls.. they were covered in mites and lice.. ( my other chickens were not happy about having to be dusted but everyone got it just in case they jumped. and I did all my cages and coop and run.. ) they all are rail thin. dingy, dirty, ratty feathers.. I've had them 2 weeks the bugs are gone ( I used the good stuff they were gone the next day!!! ) I don't let them out to free range as much as I do my org. flock because they are just so thin.. so I leave them in their cages to eat and gain some weight.( dont worry, the cages are show cat cages and they are 3'x6' and stack everyone is assigned their own "room" at night.. ) Finally I am seeing some weight gain, slowly very slowly, and hopefully soon they will be either healthy enough to crow or lay.. but you know some times we are guided to do something that may seem wasteful ( in this case money to buy and to get them healthy) but Its not.. even if they turn out to be boys. that's ok.. every life is worth the chance to thrive.
when they get healthy and i'm not embarrassed for people to see them I'll post pic's in the EE thread.
good luck with your little Roo and i hope you find the good in you and in him...
