I’ve never done that with my birds before😳 I’m guessing it has something to do with once they are put on their back they kinda just drift off?
I'm in here from a link in another thread, but my late ameraucana and welsummer will do this if I lay them down very gently and slowly let go. I think I know what people are talking about with the hypnotism but I've never gotten that to work for me. My birds are just really tame, docile and trusting. I play with them and hold them a lot.

@Amer
Huge congrats on making it into the calender.
Haven't seen it yet so do you have your pic and could post it here?
Great job though. Shows and calenders, your birds are rock stars.
X 2!!! Huge congratulations! Now let's see that Rockstar that made it into print! 😍
X3! I’ve got to see! :highfive:
Aright!

It’s beautiful how did you get the little one to stay still long enough? Mine were always bouncy and blurry!
Just hatched chicks usually hold still for me.
(The cuckoos aren’t just hatched but I thought this was a good chance to showcase their cuteness and friendliness.) Chicks are great for staged photos. I wish I could say the same for adults.
