An Appology

still, I think it's important to apologize if I've crossed the line, and I think I did. I prefer to do so in private so this public discussion is making feel a little weird, but there it s.

Yep. We're like one big dysfunctional family around here!

On the plus side, we do put the "fun" in dysfunctional.

Dear Miss Kristy ,
It takes a special person to apologize. We should all be so noble. (at times)

Kristy.... way to go.... Meds are hell.... As a post accident victim I can completely understand.... I offer you this pearl... Acupunture, Arnica, both internal and external. The medication is really hard on the body and does so much damage that it really isn't worth taking IMHO... There are better and healthier alternatives.. really... Been there done that, got the crushed body!!!

Check out arnica. It is cheap and good... Borion sells it online for about 5 bucks... I have found fro the arthritis that sets in Curamin or Tumeric is natures great healing agent.... It can help reverse some of the effects of the meds... Take some Vitamin B-12 in your juice and possibly liquid oxygen and you should heal a little faster... THe migraines are he ll Hang in there... Restore the bloodflow to the brain dear... Curamin... sunshine... acupunture.... really... Get off the nasty meds.... THey are a really poor crutch.... lots of hugs!!!!

That's fair. But it didn't seem like anyone was particularly offended about what you specifically said. I think it was more of a "don't bash all of us for one person's actions" type thing to the whole discussion. Sometimes it feels like the discussions can snowball into a gripe fest and if a particular group (whether it be teachers, TSC employees, vets, or doctors or whatever) is singled out, one could take it personally, even if it wasn't meant that way.

You apologized. If anyone has anything to say to you, they can say it to your face, or IM you anyway.

Just don't beat yourself up about it. It doesn't make you feel better anyway.

I have got to do something about these meds. I know changing my diet has helped a lot, but some of the meds are so strong that they are almost as bad as the symptoms they treat. My pain specialist has done something similar to acupuncture in office, and it helps with the pain. I try to exhaust my options before I resort to actual meds.

Dristy, I'm so sorry you suffer from migraines to that degree. I get occular and regular migraines and hadn't had one in nearly 5 years until a week ago when I was in the hospital. Hoping they won't start up again now.

It takes a lot of courage to step forward when we believe we've done something wrong and I applaud you. I'm relatively new here, and am so pleased to find that folks here are really forgiving and understanding. Just a couple of days ago I apologzied on a thread for a poorly worded post I feared might have ruffled some feathers. I got nothing but postive feedback and surprisingly no one seemed to take it the way I feared they might.

As a couple of posters on this thread so aptly pointed out, we've all put our foot in our mouth at some point! It's nice that the majority of folks here know this and are willing to forgive and forget. That's one of the reasons I enjoy coming here so much! It's nice to interact with such great folks!

I haven't read your posts that were considered rude but I can attest for you the medication they have you on. I am actually on disability because of migraines. They cause me to have seizures and a lot of times they will mimick (sp) a stroke where my speech is slurred and I cannot walk. I have a migraine almost daily, although (Praise God) not all of them are that severe. If they have you on Topamax, my neurologist call it "Dopamax" I could barely tell you what my name was when I was on that stuff. Let alone to to type a post of any sort. Depakote wasn't much better either. I wish I had words of wisdoms for you but I have none. They still have no clue what are causing mine and I was not in any traumatic event such as your wreck. The only thing I can say is I understand your issues and I know what those meds and migraines can do to you. If you ever need to talk, I am here.
