An Appology

It is topamax that i am on. I was on Depakot and I gained so much weight on it I refused to take it anymore. I am calling my neurologist in the morning. I was in the garden a few minutes ago, and everything was annoying me, I could hardly concentrate enough to properly choose which seedlings to cull, and finally I gave up and came in and sat down and cried.

I have only been on this medicine a short while and I am miserable. I am hot all the time, I feel generally unwell, i'm impatient, fuzzy headed, and I don't want to eat. Turns out a side affect of the medicine includes anorexia. joy.

It feels good to be able to vent about it. I'v been wondering if it was in my head, but the side affects I'm researching says it's pretty normal stuff.

I have to take something because like you, my migraines are so sever there have been times they mimic seizers. The neurologist said they're in that grey area between seizers and migraines.

I really hate to tell you this, you have all that to look forward to (except the eatting part) when you hit menapause(sp). I don't even have to take anything to feel like that ( not taking your condition with a grain of salt, its bad) Really the change of life, as they call it Feels exactly how you just explained it.
I have found vit. D works wonders for most problems. Really they are just now finding out how important is is for us.

OH goody

The only thing about all of those drugs, if you read the benifits paragraph. they always start off with, "It is beleived that it will........"
Not anything KNOWN. Zoloft gave me migrains.....I feel for kristy. It took a year untill my migrains to stop and THEN, THE CHANGE!

Thanks. I still hold out hope I'll completely heal one day. In the meantime, the animals, my family, and the garden have proven to be a great source of meaning in my life. From your posts, I think it's much the same for you. There is something about someone and something else depending on you to live that gives you a reason to get up every day.

One of my two kitties is extra close with me, and when I'm sick or feeling down he licks me obsessively, and rests his head on my shoulder and stares up at me with big eyes. It's so cute. The licking drives me crazy, but I know he's trying to help in his own way.
