Ancona Ducks

Pics
toadbriar, I love your flock! If I didn't already have 23 ancona eggs growing strong in the bator, I'd be jumping at your eggs. When I'm ready to do my next purchase, I'll check with you first!

Ok I cannot find my Plum Run/Heritage Turkey duck pictures...oops!

Anyhow, I had blue and what they call "lavender" but is really "silver"
Their markings are very similar to the pictures they use on the website. If I *looked* and didn't just *want* Anconas so bad I might have noticed before I bought them. lol. Hey, they still lay eggs and meat right?
The silver I think have better markings, the blue were not very broken at all. There is quite a bit of rusting on the boys too.

I've listed a post for hatching eggs from my Ancona flock if anyone is interested you can find it here...

Message me anytime to find out if seeking eggs and I will get back with you as soon as possible.

Update on my bator... day 10 and all 18 are growing nicely. I love the clear view into Ancona eggs, unlike my dark brown and olive eggs of my chickens.

thanks for that info...I will work with whatever I get as I had already ordered. Oh well...I will be looking for some day olds later in the year probably...

This is the first ancona duckling hatched this year here. He is active and healthy!
I am trying to breed for smaller spots. It didn't really work out for this little guy, but he is still super cute!

I highly recommend Thistle Down Farms for ancona hatching eggs. Excellent fertility, packaging (SO important), and healthy babies. Here are my newest babies:
