Three days later they sent me a bill for $700. I called to ask why so much. They said for the tests. I pointed out that they never ran the tests. They said that I had to pay my bill. I pointed out I wasn't going to pay anything to them for killing my dog.
And this is exactly the point I was trying to make a few pages back. A terrible thing, but no one "killed " your dog. He died. Did you offer to reimburse for the meds, time, use of staff and cage, equipment etc that he used if they took off the tests (the bill was probably made up when the dog was admitted)? When people refuse to pay their bill it gets taken out on everyone else. This is why so many vets refuse to allow payment plans and demand money up front.
