Hi

Just moved all the girls inside. 4 japs.
3 were living together well. Pip lavender and caramel.
I have moved them inside into a new home.
Added marshmallow who used to be part of rhe group.

Now pip is running around making wierd noises shouting and attacking everyone.

We told her off but no luck.

Any ideas ?

As long as there's no blood, I'd let them be for a while. Quail don't take to change very well.

You can try removing them, rearranging cage and spraying birds and cage with a light vinegar/water solution and return them to their new home to see if that changes temperament

After I lost most of my birds, I didn’t have the luxury of just culling a girl who wouldn’t get along, because I had so few. I used a spray bottle with vinegar water, and I sat and watched and I sprayed the bad girl when she attacked. It took a long time and I spread it over a few days, and separated her alone when I wasn’t watching. Eventually she stopped attacking everyone, but every egg from that cage was infertile after that, so she was preventing the male from breeding by intimidation alone.

She seems to have decided 1 corner is hers and hers alone. She pecks the wood pellets to make dust then sits I her circle of dust
