I would agree with you. If you have to build something new just for that, it’s not worth the trouble.

I have to let this play out. I think she is a survivor, she has made it this far, and has figured out a strategy, avoid, eat, preen add oil, avoid, eat...etc.

She has two allies, me and her fat friend (all my ducks are fat as they have the pond to themselves.)

Rain had come to our little duck pond. The puppy has kind of made friends. I am building the puppy/duckling pen for her next phase of training.

The female duck has managed to hang in there. She is one tough cookie. The one male still chases her from time to time but that appearse because she rebukes his advances and only mates with DJ.

Predator count is at 5 Raccoons, 4 water moccasins. 1 owl, 3 eagles 6 hawks and 3 crows have been thwarted by sound so far.

I'll post a new thread with Rain House and Duckville now that I have started construction.
