. I'm not giving up, trust me. As of right now, my babies are in my house, in a huge dog crate,cage. At this moment though, the little stinkers are running around. I keep my mop and broom nearby, thank god I have tile floors in here, huh?

You mentioned animal control, they said they are a complaint driven division, and its their job to come out all the time. The one guy , I like much better than the other, told me, now, this is not for the record, to just put them in the house, and move them to the other side of our yard, which is just what I'm going to be doing! So there, to the stupid neighbor.

But we are still going to be going to the Commissioners meeting next Tuesday too, for a follow up, and see if we can get some feed back.

It still amazes me that ducks are OK and chickens aren't. That's one goofy ordinance.

So - you still havent heard back from the Commissioners office? Hmm.. I'd be a thorn in their side like no tomorrow - I'd also have the ordinance in front of me and ask them to show me where FOWL is defined given you can keep ducks but not chickens. Fowl is fowl and unless there is a distinct separation of which breeds you can and cannot have.... they have no case. This jerk keeps calling ACO on you, yet there is no actual law that you have been cited for breaking (from what I've read in your post so far) - then you can hit this jerk with harrassment. YUP! And I'd do it too... for every call he makes...file charges of harrassment with the ACO that comes to your door. Look up how you can do it before you do it, the laws are out there. Then file a case in court (civil court) against him to stop him from doing it. ACO should know better and should be telling this guy to knock it off, its wasting their time and taxpayers money to keep coming out because "he doesnt like what you have"

If the law doesnt specifically state CHICKENS - and they just say "well we frown upon it" - too bad for them.... show me the law in black and white, or you can frown all you want to buddy boy.

Too many people are afraid of upsetting "officials" but those same "officials" have no issue or qualms with railroading over our rights.

Dont stop.. keep pushing... and I would put LATTICE or something up on the top of your fence so that your nosy butt neighbor couldnt look over any longer - or run electrical wiring and shock his nosy tail *grins*
