animal control came and said to get rid of my chickens!

The best is like mentioned, make friends. Sometimes, neighbors are ticked because they don't have anywhere to go but home and they are already ticked staying at home so making friends with them will make things a LOT better ; )

Tommy, we've done that with this neighbor, if in fact if it is him. He loves my 10 y/o daughter. He gave her a really cute music box for Christmas. My 14 y/o daughter's friend's mom used to live down the street when she was growing up, her mother still lives there. She told me that the man is just hateful, and likes to make trouble for everyone. I asked her if she was sure, and she said, Oh yeah, its him. She said to go and talk with her mom, she'd tell me all about it. I was even wondering if it was the guy across from him? You know, sometimes, you just aren't sure WHO has called on you, you know?

And the ACO isn't gonna tell you. He claims that the man won't say who he is because he doesn't "want any trouble with his neighbors".

i would be a bit leery of a man that would be paying attention to and giving my 10 year old daughter christmas presents..especially if you arent on real personal terms with him.

I know what you're saying, but its really not like that. My daughter would hang out on the fence and he'd be outside, they would talk about the ducks and chickens, he told her he had ducks before, that he just loved them, etc. He had the little music box in his trunk of his car, and gave it to her there. He has never been rude to me or my hubby, or any of the kids, etc. Its just what I have heard from this friend that has me quite suspicious, thats all. Shortly after we moved in here, my daugther and I were out walking our 2 great danes, and he started talking to me about them, for like maybe 5 mins at least. I don't know, but why would THIS person say, that they "ducks, chickens" are pooping all over the place, etc. unless he was the one looking over my fence. My birds don't ever leave the yard, and I couldn't see the neighbor coming across the street to look through my fence?

Listen to motherof5boysand1girl!!!

Sick people who do bad things almost always blend into society--most of them you would never know by their public behavior.

Talk to your 14 yr old's friend's grandmother--find out the real story.

I believe you have a right under the constitution to know who your accuser is.

that is still creepy...if any adult man was talking to my daughter about anything and giving her stuff, he would be put in his place really fast.

I plan on going down to my friend's mom's house. I ask how they knew it was him, she said they just do. He likes to cause trouble, apparently for years now. I'd say the guy looks to be in his 80's, or maybe he just looks that old. I know my hubby says his wife swears worse than a sailor!!
I agree they SHOULD tell me who the one is that complained on me. The ACO keeps saying that HE won't even let him come over to his house so that he can show him what he's talking about. Claims that he wants no problems with the neighbors cause he has to live here, blah, blah, blah! Give me a break, what does he think this is doing? Making for best friends? I don't think so.................
