I don't think its new, I think she just means she just learned it. You can "thumbs up" an image itself, after you click on it, not just the post that it appears on.

Ovates from people with more ovates give you more than one point. For example, if Sumi or Nifty gives you an ovation i think you'll get at least four points, maybe more.

Yeah, that is true. I keep close tabs on my ovates and so sometimes I might climb by six-ten points even if I only got two ovates and one is always from a mod when that happens.

Oh yeah, I've always understood the system with the "point values" and all. I just thought there was a glitch in the system ("You've already submitted this form" style) and thought it was so funny when suddenly the "ovations number" was higher than the post number. <gulp> Didn't mean to open a can of worms here and confuse anyone.
