Things are changing in Pennsylvania I'm not sure if this is a nationwide thing but in PA come June, we will no longer have access to antibiotics without a prescription from a vet. That being said, I am tempted to go out and stock up before it becomes unreasonably expensive to treat my birds if the need should arise. I am looking for fact-based research with sources addressing the potency of antibiotics over time factoring in storage methods and anything else that alter their effectiveness. I am looking for sources that are easy for the common person to read and comprehend without medical background. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I think most animal antibiotics have expiration dates and storage instructions on the label, just as human medications do. As it stands now until June of this year, about the only antibiotics available for chickens are ones for fish or pigeons, and maybe a couple of injectables for cattle or pigs.
