Any Christmas songs get on your nerves?

I went shopping today. They were playing Santa Baby and Here Comes Santa Claus....the worst versions ever sung. They were horrible!!!!!! I was only shopping 30 minutes, and I heard both of them at least three times. Why can't they have a loop that is longer than 10 minutes? Why? <insert extreme whiny voice here> Why?

The Nutcracker on a loop would make me happy.

What about "Santa Baby"? Which is basically about a spoiled, whiny, unmarried woman complaining to Santa. Hey, I'd like a yacht too!

I really like the "Bells" Christmas song, "Angels we have heard on High", "Joy to the World", and "O Holy Night". I'm a singer so I like BEAUTIFUL songs (I'm also a soprano so I like high notes)) not irritating secular ones.

I've often wondered if Christmas, Winter Solstice Celebrations, all these winter holidays weren't made just so that us folks that loathe cold would have SOME reason to look forward to this frigid horrible season. Not trying to cause a religious thing, not knocking the holiday or anything just saying if it didn't exists I would give serious consideration to hibernating until April.

Wasn't he born in September actually?

Well, we certainly couldn't have Christmas then!

It would have completely ruined the Michaelmas and Martinmas feasts in the Middle Ages by having Xmas so close to that!

It would also disrupt our Labor Day and First Days of School, to say nothing of Mexican and Chilean Independence Days!

... shepherds were NOT watching their flocks by night in December...

Most likely late March - early April.
