Any Clever Uses for Wasted Food

So we have all read the ideas for how to minimize wasted feed, but no matter what some gets wasted. Does anyone used the wasted food for anything? Does it compost well? Any ideas

If you leave it in the cage it is a great source of encephalitis once it molds

I kid...X2 on the compost. Or you can scatter it for wild birds, they aren't so picky.

It composts well, but if you don't have a rodent proof bin, you should bury it inside the pile.

I have big piles so I bury everything that could attract vermin including eggs from the incubator that quit.
