Any Douglas Preston/Lincoln Child fans? *pic on page 3

Not yet, but I'll try them. I'm running out of authors to read right now. Been through Patricia Cornwell, Michael Connolly, Harlan Coben, Lee Child, Tess Gerritson, John Sandford, the Kellermans, John Deaver, Greg Iles, Kathy Reichs, and Jefferson Bass among others, and am about to finish C.J. Box, J. A, Jance, and Nevada Barr. I don't much care for international type mystery/thrillers, but I'm about to get desperate. Anybody else have any favorite mystery/forensic/crime authors?

I used to love Patricia Cornwell. Then Kates life went to hell after Wesley allegedly got burned up and I haven't cared for her too much since then.

You've listed most of our favorites in that genre. DW and I share our love for those. At that point we go in opposite directions. I like Clive Cussler, Stephen Coonts, Nelson Demille and stuff like that. Lori likes Koontz, King stuff like that. I do like King though. He gets a bit wordy though.

I've read and liked some DeMille, particularly the Lion and Lion Games. I used to read King, just because he's a good writer, which I enjoy, but I did not like some of his stories. I try to stay away from supernatural themes, vampire dramas, and so on. No philosophical problems, just don't like them. I spent a long time reading only non-fiction, so I guess I like stories that I feel could be real, even though some of the adventure stuff is a little hard to swallow. Have you ever noticed that all the hero types are 6'2" and over?

Hope you've got your hands on the latest one, if you're near it in the series ... the *publisher* is completely sold out, according to the BN employee I spoke with last night.

I'm a James Rollins fan as well. Not the same genre as Preston/Child exactly, but still great books; the Sigma series especially.
