Our trout season opens last Saturday in April.... Except on the Great Lakes where it so open year round.
May 15th for Walleye and Pike.....

Our trout season starts April 1st. Water was too high, reservoir was still mostly froze over so I didn't bother, still haven't been out. Luckily the oldest dd and her boyfriend have been, brought me home a few nice fat browns. Hung them in my outside woodboiler and they turned out perfect

Raining here again, think I'll go out tonight and pick some nightwalkers, and take the kids this weekend after some yellow perch and bluegill.

trout season where i live is open year round (as lake trout are the only native trout in my province) but all the good trout lakes are 5+ hours away from where i live.

I'm headed out Salmon fishing this evening.
Going to Trout Bay in the north shore of Grand Island in Munising.
Is very pretty there. Located in the Pictured Rocks National Park.... If it goes well I'll post pics.

Was a good day on Lake Superior.... We boated 18 coho and 12 Lake Trout and Splake.... Between two of us... In about 2 hours. We each kept a 5 fish limit

anyone here every fish for bass before? i plan on going after them (large mouth bass) and have a few questions. what type of lures to you use? do you use bait? or fish for them like northern pike? any tips would be awesome, next are they good eating? i plan on keeping 1 to try and give it a taste. also sorry if these questions sound dumb, am more after trout,walleye, perch and pike etc...

next has anyone every gone after bull head catfish? they say there good eating and found out that by are only bass lake in the province is a river that has bullheads in it. so again how to you fish for these little guys?
