Any Hawaii Folks on BYC?

Paul,

I have some outside and I just close it all up in the evening so thereʻs no wind. I donʻt think you need a heat lamp anymore. We live in Hawaiʻi! When mine get so aggressive in the garage trying to escape all the time, out they go. I have done it too early a couple of times though and had to bring them back in. In fact a batch of araucanas younger than yours are going outside tomorrow.

HI All,
I'm on Oahu. I hatched 7 eggs this spring that I got from Peachick. Out of the 7, I ended up with 5 roosters. I am now trying to find homes for them. I have one black maran, and 4 wheaton/blue wheaton ameraucanas. Anyone interested? I can deliver on Oahu. The Maran is starting to crow. The others haven't started yet. I'm also interested in trading for pullets if you have something interesting…marans, olive eggers, let me now what you have.

Aloha kākou,

I have a couple of really nice true araucana cockerels that I cannot keep. I also have a couple of pullets that would match well with them. As I am mostly focusing on black, white and blue araucanas, I really cannot keep the mixed colored ones. but I donʻt want to give up the hens unless Iʻm gonna get some of their babies.

If someone can keep a rooster, I will give them a hen or two, and they could give me the fertile eggs and we can hatch them and split the babies. Breeding partners.

These are true rumpless araucanas, not to be confused with ameraucanas or easter eggers. Their eggs are not as blue as my cream legbars. This breed is very rare.

Here are some pics:

This one is mottled! Looks like a boy so far.

The black one is my DT roo that I will be keeping.

Aloha, Puhi
