I'm so happy I found this group!! I've been raising BYC's for about 3 years, starting in Makakilo, then in Waialua, and now in Wahiawa.
We are in the process of building a whole new coop and
I'm wanting to use sand as the bedding and ground cover... has anyone done this? And if so, what type of sand did you use? It seems like coral sand is the easiest type to find in the hardware stores... any suggestions/recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I recommend looking up the deep litter method first, employing lactic acid bacteria to eat up the poop.
